Richard graduated from RMIT in 1994. After graduating he worked in locum positions in a number of practices throughout the United Kingdom. He returned to Australia in October 1995 and bought the practice at the Dingley Chiropractic Centre. He has owned and worked in this clinic since then.

Richard obtained a Diploma in acupuncture in 1998. He has also studied extensively in dry needling and musculoskeletal acupuncture techniques. He has undertaken studies in foot biomechanics and moulding of custom- fit foot orthotics, spinal biomechanics, neuromuscular rehabilitation and clinical neurology.

This has enabled Richard to become a practitioner with a diverse method of treatment options. His practice philosophy is to treat each patient as an individual, and to apply a treatment specifically tailored to that person. Treatment options include joint manipulation and mobilization, massage, acupuncture, dry needling, cupping, ultrasound and laser therapy.

He believes that as a health practitioner he should be involved in all aspects of a person’s wellbeing. Patients are given advice regarding exercises, diet, ergonomics and lifestyle. Richard has developed a healthy relationship with the local medical doctors and receives many referrals for his services. He has also developed excellent working relationships with local physiotherapists, osteopaths, podiatrists and naturopaths. This enables patients to be treated within a healthcare team to maximize their outcomes.

Richard treats a wide variety of people and a vast array of conditions. He is especially interested in spinal pain and headaches, sports injuries and the treatment of children and babies. He is registered to treat Work Cover, Transport Accident and Veterans Affairs patients.

Richard is registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and is a member of the Chiropractic and Osteopathic College of Australia. He also holds a current level 2 First Aid certificate and undertakes regular postgraduate education.
